Cinque Terre, I've been for a swim!!

Heaps of Motor bikes, Scooters and bicycles in Florence. They are allowed to go the wrong way down one way streets!

The Bascilica de something in Florence. Is absolutely huge!

The only original bridge left in Florence. Is where all the silver and gold id sold

Beautiful reflection taken by Kev

The bascilica totally dominates the syline making the other large buildings look small

Florence, very busy place
I was the only woman on the beach today wearing more than a bikini. First time I have ever felt overdressed in a swimsuit. This morning we walked from Monterrossa to Vernassa. Is only about 3 km but a total goat track around the side of the cliffs. Incredibly beautiful. Quite a lot of people as it's Saturday and many people come here for the day from Florence or Genoa. So we have seen 2 of the 5 villages now and they are just beautiful. The B&B is lovely. Very clean and quiet. Has a lift where you have to keep your finger on the button the whole time you are in it to make it go. Only has a floor and ceiling, no walls. There was one like that in the train station too.

The lady sitting next to me in this internet cafe has her little poodle with her. He is very good and is just sitting quietly.

I should have mentioned the buses yesterday. They are like riding on the tray of a truck. No suspension and Kevin reckons they have no air in the tyres. The streets can be very uneven and you feel every bump. And the bidets :) Has anyone ever used one? What do you do with the pristine white linen towels provided? The mind boggles.

We leave here on Monday for Rome. Have 4 nights there and that is the end of Europe and the beginning of our organised tours. We fly from Rome to Istanbul, Have 10 days In Turkey, then fly to Cairo and have a week in Egypt.

So we are making the most of chilling out here. Will probably walk again tomorrow morning and laze about again in the afternoon. The weather is quite a bit cooler here especially at night. The sea is very warm though, about 24 deg, and lots of people swimming.

We have lots of photos of this area but I haven't downloaded them yet so will post some from the last 2 days.

We have not seen a rugby game at all and almost no news of world cup over here.
