6 Sleeps To Go

Ha Ha Taranaki did retain the shield and I had a lovely peaceful afternoon.

Only 2 more days of work to go. Today I got our foreign currency. AUD for the airport stopovers in Brisbane on the way over and Melbourne on the way back. GBP and EUR and USD for Dubai (I think that is what we need there, better check!) and for Turkey and Egypt. Just as well the exchange rates are so good. I also sent off my entries for the November and December shows, wormed the dogs and got yet more prescription pills!

Is 40 degrees in Dubai at the moment so for once I won't be complaining about the cold :)

Oh and by the way, Kayley came up with the name for this blog which I think is pretty clever and cute.

7 days and counting

Well this time next week we will be in Auckland waiting for our flight to Brisbane and then on to Dubai.

I am ticking things off my list. Today have set up the blog, trained the dogs, organized the mountains of pills we are taking to keep us going for 9 weeks. Amazing for 2 people who hardly ever take anything we have, antibiotics, anti malaria pills, 5 different pills for if we get food poisoning, asprin to prevent blood clots, sleeping pills for the plane, valium for the plane (me) and others i have forgotten.

Hope we will get them all through customs without getting arrested :)

Kevin, Vaughn, Keri, Kayley and Chelsea have gone to watch Taranaki retain the shield and Karen is having a wonderful time in Wanaka, so I have some quiet time to get some things done.
